New Year in Caral: The sacred city lights up like never before

If you still do not plan anything to celebrate the New Year, we give you this alternative that is to travel to the sacred city of Caral. A destination just four hours north of Lima, which is illuminated to receive 2020 and has scheduled a series of special activities for the last night of the year.

Visitors will enter after 6 p.m. To wait for midnight. The main pyramid building, the huanca and the path to the Gozne hill will be illuminated. What is the route to get to Caral?

Buses to Supe or Barranca charge between S / 15 to S / 30 per passenger. From these points, buses leave to the tourist hostel (calculates S / 6 per section). A taxi from Supe or Barranca, and to the archaeological site, charges about S / 40. Remember that, for parties, prices may increase.

The entrance to Caral, only on Friday 31, is S / 15. For camping you pay S / 10 for tent of maximum 4 people. The price does not include camping equipment. I suggest you wear light clothes, sunscreen and a hat for the day and some warm clothes for the night.

There is a Cultural Travel program of the Caral Archaeological Zone, created that offers a package for these holidays that includes transportation (round trip), food (Tuesday dinner, breakfast and Wednesday lunch), admission ticket, guided, right to Camp (does not include tent) and visit the Isla del Faraón beach, in Supe Puerto. The costs are S / 230 per adult and S / 200 per child, if you pay until Friday, December 20.
