The Custom of TANTA WAWA

The wawa bread or also called in the Quechua word as Tanta Wawa is a traditional and traditional bread that is consumed on November 1 and 02 commemorating All Saints’ Day and on the Day of the Dead. This custom was born in the mountains of the country and is currently preserved. Wawa bread is made with wheat flour, colored candies and other sweets to decorate and shape the biscuit.


The Wawa Tanto is prepared in an artisanal way and different figures are represented in the form of a horse either for boys and doll for girls.
The Tanta Wawas are VERY TRADITIONAL in the cities of THE SOUTH PERUVIAN As Ayacucho, Puno, Cusco, Huancavelica, Huancayo VERY APARTMENT OF THE WAWA BREADS IT IS ALSO CONSUMED VIZCOCHUELOS AND MAICILLOS.
